after going through all the cups in GTL i find the wonderful big GT's in LFS are a treat to drive. fats and just be gentle.
squeeze the throttle,, easy, on easy off.
LFS really is the best game ever (most cars don't have the crazy GTL body roll thank good ness)
very racy cars- Bring on open cockpit prototype and a closed cockpit, and 'classic cars' and really three cheers to Scavier (this should cover all three right?)
you guys are the brilliant Wizards this world needs.
Whatever you bring to LFS will be spectacular- ofcourse i hope our suggestions help

lotus cortina or Ford Falcon
somewhere at fernbay green..or westhill, or aston
if LFS had any of those cars....i think it would simply rule, even real tracks.
the physics is so superior to any other sim, it seems that we can race better than wnything,...

yah i don't or havent played in 2 or 3 months
i drive GTL mostly now, and i am still disastrousillepall... i can't win the pole in amateur mode (i did 3 times) out of 179 races?! but i have won 178 races...
but in LFS i was able to grab pole, and even against other people
i love LFS, but the single player stinks mostly adn the multiplayer well, there are never anyraces on the West coast of NorthAmerica...i have seen O ZERO Zilcho racing live...
and i lost my love of it (conversely GTL has made me a wiz racer at 100% Ai in F1C and its mods) but alas my first love LFS is not what it was...
no live races or servers, no fun....

right it doesn't hurt to ask- that would be great...i would start with historics though...
then on to the production type racers.. but the big GTs are great as is although if the headlights on the FZGTR were round....

the grip is the most lacking thing for the LX cars, even if they are powered well to weight, they still have hard ice covered rear wheel, curbs send them spinning, shame...
but how to balance the grip ion the LX and the tight control, versus the other rear drivers...or is it still a matter of bad grip modelling?

this is a new one to me
kind on or off topc- why are so many wheel (momo's) tossing up on themselves?
who lets toddlers come and break them? or is it that everyone races 12 hours a day?
i have taken mine apart to keep it clean now and again...
i don't mean to start a fight
check the motor temps (infrared pyrometer) and all the wires i had something chew through a wire and frayed it open- a new kit from logitech fixed this- long letter and sob stroy to them...

No novelty!
it is a real very fierce and awesome racing to behold.
Truck racing is as novel as Nascar Craftsman Trucks and see how big that has become- it is as novel as Vintage racing and Hillclimbs, and Touring cars(grocery getter going racing?-but WTCC-BTCC STCC are so cool arent't they)
i would like to see formula ford type open wheelers and pre war brookland or Long race (bugatti t35, Fiat mephistofeles, Miller and ERA racers) first but FIA super trucks is too cool dnot to try.
ever try Mercedes Benz Truck Racing Sim? they are very cool a challenge to drive fast, and oh the understeer- NO the Drifts-No the back wheels in the grass and spinning- ack i went from 1st to 8th- 2 laps later i am up to 3rd hoping to catch up by lap 20 to be #1
truck racing is so intense

AGAIN! the cries of the many for FIA supertrucks ring every where
from the Cab over flat nose (or COE cab over engine) to the long snout frieghtliner of the 2005 championship Team Buggyra and the old caterpillar type. these two are soooo needed
can you tell i am a fan?

well then the idea of all official tracks comes to life-
Tsukuba- a great sprinter , for close racing
Silverstone, Donington...Contidrome, lausitz, Avus....This will never end- Watkins glen, Road america, Bathurst-Mt.Panorama. Oran Park, Thruxton Brands hatch. MilleMiglia, Rouen, LeMans-lasarthe, Norisring-good city scuffle, SPA!

so a list of driving tracks should be out there and poll undertaken by the LFS liscenced to see what would be worth paying for.
Nurburgring of course. Do historical tracks need payment for them by modern versions? i.e. Avus 1930's- pre 1980 Nurby? some of the old distance races....

I rather like it- this track has the GP feel of a real track, looks and all the off camber bits - the last chicane is bullocks though, you come screeching to a halt, which is okay but every car there seems to twitch to some side and it is just maddening- i can not see the line there at all, the other corners hint at where you should go- but the last turn there before pit in, is just bonkers poo.

oh on the "Roval" note- infield road course bits i always find enjoyable, They can be fun for whatever reason, they alway include a good flat fast oval section...
lets see KY infield (what is it Nat?) is quite fun and races there are always good, in real life (daytona being a real bad roval) there are good tracks which should be exploited, Rockingham looks a good one and long, Lausitz is certainly a fast and pass opportunity filled circuit, Phoenix isn't too bad, Homestead-Miami is actually nice and is FIA approved as well, and the Claifornia Speedway Roval is a biiiig good racer too. The tracks generally are flat, so many yawns aside, they are very textbook and hence good for so many levels of racers, and these are very busy tracks too, with heavy braking places, slipstream areas and highspeeds. they have so many good features, what is the down side? length or flatness?- a track is a track, eh?

Historic Class?

Alot of talk about a new class in racing or a new car type has been suggested.
Truck Racing of course is the best one so far, followed by Trans-Am style cars of the 1968-71 years, proper touring cars...
what about PreWar OpenWheel cars
Spirit of Speed? or Spirit of LFS.... the way the game has progressed this could be a stunner

I Don't get it either, where qare they?
i went to a UF1 only server, 3 guys showed up 2 quit during the race, when the last guy spun, i won, or finished, as i was the only one left, what is this attitude? and do catastrophes in the UF mean it s over? go for a PB, attack! someone will make mistakes...
a good car to drive, difficult to master, and "masters" quit early wen they goof it seems- so race an FO8 and when disaster strikes well it is expected in such power... sods

I am in full suppport of this Idea-
Afterall touring cars would be a little modding of the FXO platform or skin so only Super trucks are needed- Full Race bred Diesel engines, and the roar and the sliding! ooo-wahh

i have a problem too, my frame rate wiggles from 19-20ish to a full 90FPS depending on the cars visible and the action
why would it be so demanding?
i runa p4 3.4 and 1.5 gig ram ad a ATI radeon 9600 pro.
i find this drop in FPS so disturbing as my PC is but 6 months old yet.
i have no hop e for S3

i completed the liscence test, quite good work actually, most of y time was "quick" and pro at the overtake races....
they should be completed as an online unlock, it really is a goood way to step up from S1 if you had it to S2, the physics are that new, this sim racer rocks by the way

alot have been out thinking Supertrucks- and it is my favorite idea www.truckracing.de www.forlmulatruck.com www.buggyra.com !!!!!!!
then ofcourse the Solid axle, leaf spring crazy ness, like mad max's falcon, or The Trans-am racers of the 69-73 era wowza.

three wheelers! that is fun, like the Morgans of the 30's or a JZR/BRA/Triking type, of course sidecars would be rad, especially if you have ragdoll physics and can get them launched from the bike- heh heh

what car was that?
big glaring issue with the right hander after the long straight, and the last chicane for certain.

the long straight, well you have LOTS of track out space to use so don't cut it so tight, you can probably do the turn in low revs in 4th, or 3rd gear (GTI)
and let the car move out to the edge, and unwund slowly as you apply throttle. this will set up the chicane before the bridge, then the chicane out of the bridge onto the start/finish straight, use the kerbing to set up the turn and turn in late apex so as to get the second portion proper to have a nice fast speed at the end of the S/F strght
keep at it, all four wheel were on the tarmac, and you didn't flip spin or crash...
the trouble is, as soon as you get good here, some alien comes along and bashes your personal best with a 4 second lead...
then you have to master the other cars- Oi!
